FedEx Express Malaysia has appointed Tien-Long Woon as its new Managing Director. Woon succeeds Siang-Chung Chong, who retired from FedEx after 19 years of distinguished service. In his new role, he will lead a team of nearly 900 team members in Malaysia and continue to oversee FedEx operations in Thailand until a successor is announced.

Tien-Long joined FedEx Express Malaysia in 2010 as Senior Engineer for Planning and Engineering. In 2019, he was appointed Managing Director of FedEx Express Thailand, where he led key service enhancements. This includes introducing the first electric delivery vehicle with zero tailpipe emissions and a sustainability initiative to recycle courier uniforms. He was instrumental in strengthening the team’s culture, which has helped the company earn the title of “Best Companies to Work for in Asia” in 2021 and 2022.

Meanwhile, Germany-based multinational conglomerate’s Malaysian subsidiary, Siemens Malaysia announced that Tindaro Danze has been appointed as its new President and Chief Executive Officer effective 1 January 2023. Danze is concurrently responsible for the Digital Industries (DI) business in Malaysia.

Prior to these appointments, Danze was Head of Global Sales for DI’s Digital Enterprise and Vertical Management. He managed the company’s regional industrial digitalization units, enabled global digitalization projects, and oversaw Siemens DI vertical approach in key industries.

Danze was previously based in Indonesia from 2012 – 2016, as the Managing Director of the Medium and Low Voltage Drives Business.  He then moved to Siemens Vietnam as the Head of Digital Industries from 2016 – 2020. He positioned Siemens as a thought leader in Industry 4.0 in Vietnam, and also formed numerous strategic alliances with the local education sector, industry associations and manufacturing stakeholders.
